Q: What counts as a valid CPR certification?
A: The PA Board requires in-person training through providers like the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Online-only or hybrid courses without a physical skills test are not accepted.
Q: Can I apply to the PA Board before I pass the MBLEx?
A: Yes. You can pre-apply even if some requirements (like CPR or NPDB) are in progress. Just make sure everything is completed before your file is reviewed.
Q: What if I fail the MBLEx?
A: You can reapply and retake the exam after 30 days. You’ll need to resubmit payment to FSMTB. No new transcript is needed unless requested.
Q: How much does a student clinic massage cost?
A: A 60-minute massage with a student costs $45. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, Apple Pay, HSA, FSA, and cash as payment for services.
Q: What happens after the massage session?
A: After your session, you will be asked to fill out a short evaluation of your massage. Evaluations are important because they give the students valuable feedback on their work.
Q: Can I request a student?
A: You can request a specific student, but we cannot guarantee placement with that student.
Q: Will it be supervised?
A: Each clinic shift is supervised by an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist.

Q: What if I’m late?

Q: What is the gratuity etiquette?
A: It’s not obligatory to tip a student but if you wish to do so, it must be left in CASH ONLY or payment apps may be used such as Venmo, CashApp, etc.
